I'm 13 right now, turning 14 in July. I'm in 8th grade, taking Spanish 1 right now. I LOVE this language, and have since My first 9 weeks Spanish class in 6th grade. Then I had a 9 weeks intermediate Spanish class in 7th grade, and now here I am in my Spanish 1 all year class. I started to really take a serious interest in this language at the beginning of this year, and now I have my TV on the Latin channels most of the time, and I listen to a lot of Latin songs, and extra research in addition to my classes at school. The kids really joke around about me being so serious in that class but I don't mind; anything it takes for me to be able to be fluent and actually sound fluent as well (the opposite of Jennifer Lopez). So my question is, am I just a little too late to be able to pick up the language like a child can, because I don't want to sound stupid in the future when I'm speaking this language. Oh, and I also plan on taking Spanish 1, 2, 3, 4, y las clases de espanol en colegia. (Also, is there anything else I can do to be able to absorb this language?)... Read More »
